Alberta Centre for Labour Market Research

Advancing Labour Market Research in Alberta

To navigate Alberta’s dynamic market, policymakers, employers, and learners need access to timely, rigorous evidence to support better decisions. To support this, the Government of Alberta invested $1 million in the Alberta Centre for Labour Market Research (ACLMR), the premier destination for Canadian labour market expertise and an essential home for unbiased, high-quality labour market information and research.

Hosted by the University of Alberta, the ACLMR is a collective of Alberta-based researchers from four comprehensive academic and research universities. Our research is aggregated and efficiently disseminated through the ACLMR and positioned to help inform provincial, regional, and federal labour market policies. ACLMR is where any interested party, be it a researcher, policymaker, business owner, or labour organizer, can find the best research and/or researcher that fits their needs.

The LearningCITY Collective is proud to collaborate with the ACLMR to ensure that Albertans have access to high-impact labour market data.

Alberta Labour Market Indicators

The ACLMR has utilized the published Government of Alberta Economic Dashboard APIs to provide a sampled listing of key Labour Market indicators for the province of Alberta, including participation, employment, and unemployment values and their rates, to share forward for increased visibility into the current status of the Jobs market in Alberta.
